NEED DENTAL WORK! :(

HI!
I'm really new to this page and was directed here because my husband and I are in need of some Dental assistance. We are both Full time students with four children ages 10-2. My husband works as an independent contractor and in this economy we are only able to afford the basics. We are both in need of dental care BADLY! The problem is that there is no insurance that can help us out to the extent that we need it. (We can not afford these dental prices) So, our teeth are in pain and it is starting to effect our daily attitudes. We are very giving people, in that we give when we can, even if it's the shirt off our back. Our church is helping so many people right now that I don't even want to ask them. Is there ANYone out there that could help us with any info to where we could get the funds needed? The free clinics here are way over populated and we can't even get in! Thanks and God bless

I really need to see a dentist!

HI I am a 35 year old single mother of 3 due to divorce. I am in desperate need of going to the dentist, I do work and have some dental coverage BUT the obly coverage I have is Xrays and emergency extractions. I have quite a few bad teeth that the dentist said he does not want to remove until I can get dentures because they are visible. I brush 3 times a day and floss as well, it is an issue with my teeth not neglect. Anyway if anyone knows a dentist who is willing to help me, I am getting to where i do not want to smile anymore and would give anything to be able to have my picture taken with my children and actually smile. I haven't been able to do that in years. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope and pray someone can do something. Thanks again!

About MotorCitySarge

Hello everyone,

I currently am 51 y/o unemployeed US Air Force veteran who has fallen on some hard times.  Luckily I have the VA Hospital for my health insurance/provider, but they will not cover any dental problems unless they occured while in the military.  I had an accident a few years ago where I had knocked out and busted a couple of my front upper teeth.  I spend $3,600.00 in dental bills to get to the stage where I need to get them capped or crowned, but I can not afford to get this done.

I know this is one of the problems in trying to find a job, as I try not to smile to hide the fact of my dental problems.  When I do smile during an interview, I can tell that the interviewer it taken aback by my toothless smile.  They never ask anything about it, but I never receive any call backs from first the first interview.  I've never had a problem in getting a job until I've had this problem.

It also makes it difficult to eat as I'm always biting my tongue, lips and have to continuously remind myself while eating.  Luckily I've had the root canal procedure as that was the most painful part of the procedure.  Yeah, I'm a baby when it comes to dentists.

I'm down to my last $100 in bank accounts and do not know what will happen next.  Is there anybody out there who may be able to help me in any way that they can?  I've exhausted every method I could think of before I tried to post on here.

 Please help.

Thank you for your assistance,

I have never written a letter like this in my life. In fact, I wouldn't be writing it now if desperation weren't a big factor for me.
I pray you will, at the very least, read and acknowledge my letter.
Owensboro is a town that large parts of it seem to die a little more everyday. The one thing it does have going for it are the colleges.
I have lived here about a year, the reason I am here is for school. The whole year that I've been here I've been looking for work. There are no jobs here. I finally found a job two weeks ago, but the company I am working for is not in KY, it's in Portland, Oregon and I work for them virtually.
I am so sorry to bother you with this request, I'm just so desperate. All my life the only thing I liked about myself, physically, was my smile.
In the past year I have battled cancer and hopefully won, taken my GED & scored in the top eight percent of the country, started college and finished my first semester with a 3.75 GPA. I knew I was in dire need of dental work, but in KY there are no avenues to help you get the dental work done. I know, I've tried and tried. I am on the waiting list for Donated Dental Services and have been for several months.
During the fall semester, which was my second, a tooth, under my bridge came out and my bridge will come out any day. The fillings in my two front teeth fell out and I've suffered an infection on and off for two months now. Sometimes the pain is unbearable. There was no resources for the kind of help I need and I can't stand the thought of being in public, looking as I do. I withdrew from college and I have barely left my apartment since the beginning of September. I have become more and more depressed as time has passed and more reclusive. I search everyday for help and there is none.
Even though I have suffered great hardships all my life and I am all alone, I still participate in the random acts of kindness philosophy. And since I saw the movie Pay It Forward, knew that's the way I wanted to conduct my life. I am not trying to toot my own horn, I would just like to help you understand what kind of person I strive to be everyday.

I realize you probably get dozens of letters like this and if you dismiss mine I will understand. But, if you do help me, you will be saving my life.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read it.

I am attaching a photo of myself before I started having these very bad problems. I fought so hard to save my teeth, because almost everyone in my family has consistantly lost all their teeth by the age of thirty. I did not want that to happen and it didn't at thirty.

I'm a 32 year old woman who has had dental problems since childhood.  I did not recieve regular dental care growing up and for most of my adult life I have not made enough money to pay for my own dental care.  I live in near constant pain that no amount of tylenol helps.  I went to a dentist last year to have several teeth pulled.  I was told that I needed multiple root canals and crowns, fillings, and a partial.  I do not have that kind of money!  I'm in the situation where I make slightly too much money to get assistance from a dental clinic but not enough to pay for all my dental care.  I would love to find help!  I'm missing almost all of my back teeth.  I have a difficult time chewing food because of this.  My front teeth are in need of root canals and fillings.  I'm tired of living in pain and being afraid to show my smile!

Hi...Im a 27 year old married mother of two living in texas.....we are a small poor family. But I can live with that because we are happy....and loved.....the one thing I find it hard to live with however, Is the condition of my teeth. I have genetically weak teeth...both my mother and father have had dental problems from an early age....and now i do. My teeth are breaking in the front and the nubs are turning black. I have such big holes in my back teeth(top and bottom) that I cannot bite down on anything and brushing is extremely painful. If anyone knows of any programs or specific dentists in the DFW area that would be willing to work with someone like me, I would be forever greatful. I recently had my second lumabr back surgery..so I have been on medical leave from my job for 6 months...and the thought of going back with my mouth in the condition it is...brings me to sobbing tears..I know that in the past that I have been looked over for jobs and job promotions because of my mouth....I work in retail...and there were days when I would go to the bathroom and cry because a customer would comment to my face...about the condition on my teeth......If anyone has anything to mention...be it advice, a program, or a referral.....please speak out. Thank you so much. Blessed Be

I used to like my smile

Hello, I'm 29, single mother of a beautiful 8y/o girl who has Autism.  I lost my job a little while back and have decided to return to school.  I start in 2 weeks, I'm taking a 2 year course in multi-media for computers. Funds are very tight and next to nothing and I need some dental work...please help.

I have been seeing a dentist that will not budge on my bill.  He has done 3 root canals and several fillings since Feb 2007.  I have scraped to pay him over onethousand dollars and still have a balance of five hundred.  The office will not even schedule me an appointment to finish the canals until I pay that IN FULL.

Now two of the three teeth are hurting again, I can barely eat and they happen to be on opposite sides.. so I'm not happy!!  I don't have good credit and can't seem to find anyone to help me out.  I am not looking for a free-bee, just some help so I dont waste the money I have already put in.  I cannot bare to lose another tooth or deal with the pain I have in my mouth.

I will do ANYTHING for some dental work..please help

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
